The Sharonville Cultural Arts Center held its annual fundraiser ‘Spotlight on the Arts’ at the Sharonville Convention Center on May 1st. The community brought out their flapper dresses and zoot suits to celebrate the storied and colorful past of the center located in Downtown Sharonville. Master of ceremonies, J D Hughes, led the evening by honoring Eileen Burke and Vicki Hoppe as Patron and Supporter of the Arts. Mayor Kevin Hardman and former Mayor Virgil Lovitt battled one another as gangsters in a Who Dun It Players mystery theatre dinner.
This year’s event raised over $14,000, which enabled the center to continue operating to offer quality children’s stage theatre, community art education, local theatre, art showings and independent film premiers. This event represents all that is good in our community – the uniting of local businesses, city officials, friends and neighbors to promote and celebrate this historic asset to Sharonville and surrounding regions.
