The Sharonville Cultural Arts Center is proud to have two unique companies offering acting coaching for everyone who is interested in the theater, commercial and movie world.
Take One Acting Studio
For ‘tweens and teens interested in serious acting, the Sharonville Cultural Arts Center hosts Take One, a weekly series of classes improving skills in scene work, monologue, improve, auditioning and professional presentations. “Students give me the goals they are striving towards and we work together,” said Nancy Pushkar, director, teacher, and acting coach. “Standard classes begin with a warm-up and follow into planned exercises and can include individual coaching.” Nancy’s classes encompass a variety of aspects of acting focusing on scene study, monologues, acting exercises, and critique. Pushkar helps her students prepare for auditions with agents and regularly provides them with audition information she receives from the film community, commercial contacts, and Tri-State performance groups. This class welcomes middle school and high school students from beginners as well as the experienced student.
Nancy Pushkar has studied film, television, theater, improv, and stand-up comedy, on both east and west coasts. Nancy offers an honest approach to teaching acting to ‘tweens and teens. She uses her knowledge of acting and performing to encourage creativity and promote positive self-esteem. Her favorite motto is “Imagine, believe, and achieve.”
