Success is sweet – over 200 ticket holders attended the Sharonville Cultural Arts Center’s annual Spotlight on the ARTS Gala helping SCAC exceed its goal and best previous events by 50%. The sold-out event was held at the Sharonville Convention Center Northern Lights Ballroom on Friday, April 29. The 2016 Gala raised over $35,000 to be used for SCAC program and facility needs. “For a small group, we had an ambitious goal and with community support we succeeded,” said Gala Chair Jennifer Catanzaro. “And, we all had a lot of fun.” “Several people said this was the best organized and fun event we’ve ever had!” said long time board member Virgil Lovitt II. Mingling in the cheerful crowd were Sharonville Mayor Kevin Hardman, Council President Vickie Hoppe, Council Members Shayok Dutta, Paul Schmidt as well as longtime supporters John and Dawn Westheimer of Cincinnati Commercial Contracting, Don Trautmant of TNT Papercraft and numerous Sharonville business owners. “During the reception a string group provided lovely music that still allowed mingling,” said Susan Wyder, SCAC board member and President of the Princeton School Board of Education.  “The room was gorgeous, raffle baskets were amazing and silent auction items were fantastic,” said Pat Madyda, SCAC Administrative Manager. WARM 98 radio personality JD Hughes acted as Master of Ceremonies. “The video played during the program was fun, uplifting and captured in six minutes the essential vibe of the SCAC:  fun, creative, inclusive,” said Gala Chair Jennifer Catanzaro.  Anna and The Deeper Well entertained the crowd after a sit down dinner.
